Aikibugei literally means: person who realizes himself harmoniously through the warrior arts.
Formerly called Aikibujutsu, Aikibugei is a discipline created by Sensei Lionel Oudart. It combines the most effective techniques of Daito Ryu Aikijutsu, Aikibudo and Aikido.

The heart of this discipline is based on the will of its founder to transmit a practice capable of improving the capacities of the human being both on the physical as well as on the psychological level.
Aikibugei has a technical richness rarely seen in the world of Aiki. The progressiveness is required, the objective being to polish the diamond with perseverance and determination so that it can shine in all areas of life.
Sensei Lionel Oudart was not only interested in teaching his students how to react to a crisis situation. His approach was to transmit principlesprinciples valuesand concepts capable of influencing the the whole spectrum of life.
It is through repetition of this strict and complete technical program that the Aikibugei practitioner will see over time his inner transformation.

The techniques used are numerous. Some are focused solely on the body understanding (all basic exercises), while others are clearly oriented towards martiality. The combat techniques allow practitioners not only to test the principles acquired in the body training exercises but also to test their ability to of harmony between the apparent dissociation psyche/physical body.
The Aikibugei teaches us the patience, the benevolencethe determination etc. This art allows the body to form, to be more receptive, more sensitive and adaptable to our environment.
